Brief: Evolve Sky News’ brand identity to support its new positioning, “The Full Story, First”. The refresh aimed to enhance its reputation for breaking news and live journalism while reflecting its shift from a TV channel to a multiplatform media outlet adaptable to digital and social demands.
Role: Designer responsible for concept development, iteration, testing, and final delivery of hundreds of assets. My design for a grid was selected as the creative direction. I led on the delivery of the breaking news brand system.
Response: We introduced "the grid," a flexible system that brings clarity and structure to visual storytelling across platforms. This grid has become a signature brand element, unifying touchpoints and reinforcing Sky News' authority and high production standards. For breaking news, I designed a distinct grid variation to amplify urgency and impact, visually reflecting Sky News’ commitment to fast, trusted journalism.
